No- it’s not the eggnog!! So many people have asked us about doing a Fold’n Stitch double wreath (from Pattern PQD-210), that we thought – let’s share how we did ours!
The secret to reducing or expanding the wreath is all in the template! If you reduce or expand the template, it follows that you can reduce or expand the size of your wreath. We reduced the template to 79% of it’s original size (this gets you to a manageable number that you can cut easily). Then you will have a template with the correct angle to make a smaller wreath. From the resulting template, determine the size of your pieces.
Here is our mini along side the original – the mini is about 16″ diameter, the original is around 21″. Isn’t it cute? (The hole in the middle is about 3-1/2″ point to point).
We are planning on giving our wreath duo to one of our elves – we are not stitching it together, so she can either use it as a double or 2 wreaths and will secure them together with plenty of safety pins. It’s all up to you – you are the designer!
